ARTISAN BAKERY. PEOPLE. ENCOUNTERS.

At Aroma we bake our own buns and pastries from start to finish using carefully selected produce, just like we have always done. Aroma started off as a small artisan bakery focusing on sourdough bread. Today we can offer so much more: salads, cakes, and a large selection of pastries – here you will find something to all tastes and occasions.

OPEN HOURS.

Our four establishments each offer different atmospheres and selections.
Our unit in central Vaasa is a full-scale bakery and confectionery complete with a shop and a small café. Our café in GW Galleria in Kivihaka serves lunch salads and all things that go well with a cup of tea or coffee. In central Sepänkylä you will find Lilla Aroma, our latest addition with a bakery shop and café. The roots of Aroma lie in Koivulahti, now working as a production bakery. The bakery has no direct sales but serves as a pick-up point for pre-orders.

SALad Lunch.

All salads include optional fillings from our daily salad selection, a slice of freshly baked sourdough bread, water, and coffee/tea.

Aroma Vaasa city centre: Monday–Friday 10–14.30
Aroma Kivihaka: Monday–Friday 10–17, Saturday 10–15
Lilla Aroma: Monday–Friday 10–17 (offers a limited selection of ready-to-go salads)

Price: Small salad 11.50 €, Large salad 13.50 €
NEWS. We often celebrate with cakes and pastries. Indeed, we love pastries so much we even give them their own dates! Here you will find the latest news, such as the day of the cinnamon bun or the feast of the shrove bun. If you are lucky you might also find a few baking tips!

THE ROOTS OF AROMA.

In November 2011, recipes are tested and plans made in the old shop renovated into a bakery in Koivulahti. This is where Aroma begins.
 
The concept is small-scale artisan baking with focus on sourdough bread, buns baked with butter, and a small selection of cakes. On 13 December 2011, Saint Lucy’s Day, the doors of the new bakery open and the fragrance of freshly baked goods spreads.

MARIA’S STORY.

Founder of Aroma Maria Vestergård describes herself as an entrepreneur who loves to create. She envisioned Aroma in her mind years before the business idea took its final shape. Creativity flows within Aroma, driven by a passion for flavours and shapes. While working side by side with bakers, confectioners, cooks and food artisans, baking and tasting together, we create new things every day.
